About Us

Our history started in 1975 when Jim Hewitt decided to work in an industry that he loved spending his time in. Starting as a bait shop and storage facility then quickly transitioning to a new boat dealership first featuring Champion and Ranger Bass Boats. 

Flash forward 45 years and Jim’s son Dennis Hewitt continues the business with the same philosophy that his dad had. Dennis is the current owner of Ozawkie Boats and continues the same legacy that his dad started.

We are users of our product and know how important it is to have systems in operation when it’s time to enjoy your boat. We’d love to be involved in your boating experience from the first time you turn your key to the last. We are not the typical boat dealer. We spend countless hours on custom boat set up before every delivery so our customers get the most out of their boat. All of our boats are delivered to the customer with a complete on-the-water demonstration. We specialize in all types of marine service from mechanical, custom boat outfitting, and training for boat handling and electronic operation.
